On the website you can download handouts, information sheets, order
forms and other physical fitness resource material that is age appropriate.
There are several levels of the award. Each award recognizes different
levels of physical fitness. No one gets left out. |

The Presidential Physical Fitness Award… honors
students who demonstrate an outstanding level of fitness by scoring
above the 85th percentile on all five fitness tests. |

The National Physical Fitness Award… recognizes students who
score at or above the 50th percentile on all five standard exercises. |
|
The Participant Physical Fitness Award… is designed for students
who complete the five exercise items, but whose scores fall below
the 50th percentile on one or more tests. |
|
The Health Fitness Award… recognizes students who achieve
a healthy level of fitness. |
|
The Presidential Active Lifestyle Award (PALA)... recognizes students
who participate in daily physical activity of any type for 5 days/week,
60 minutes a day or 11,000 pedometer steps for 6 weeks. Repeated 6
week participation merits additional recognition. For more information,

The cost is reasonable. A certificate, patch/emblem
and stickers averages at 1.75. Each year after is 1.50. The information
regarding the awards is located in a free, easy to download 32 page
manual that is in pdf format. You can also get it by mail. They even
have t-shirts. |
